Job Summary:

Farm and Home Hardware is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records for our retail operations. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our stock levels are maintained efficiently, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting the overall operations of the store. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring all stock is properly recorded and organized.

Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Data Management:

Maintain and update inventory records in the store's inventory management system.

Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast needs, and support decision-making.

Ensure accurate pricing, product descriptions, and SKUs in the inventory system.

Loss Prevention:

Monitor inventory for signs of shrinkage, theft, or damage, and take corrective actions as needed.

Implement best practices to reduce loss and maintain inventory integrity.

Customer Service:

Assist customers and staff with inventory-related inquiries.

Provide product availability information and suggest alternatives when items are out of stock.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in inventory management or supply chain preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, retail, or a related field.

Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Proficient computer skills.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
