The Senior Leader Production, the Inventory Lead position is responsible for designing, optimizing and implementing a system that provides accurate inventory from receipt until shipping with timely delivery of parts to the work room associates. They are responsible to maintain levels required on a daily basis to meet work room demands. This person is also responsible for the ongoing development and continous improvement of our inventory, shipping, material handling & receiving processes. This person will be responsible to lead 1-2 material handlers YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and provide ongoing continuous improvement of a system that provides movement of product between work centers and delivers required parts from inventory as needed by the schedule.
- Leads, coaches and develops a team of 1-2 inventory specialists/material handlers.
- Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into ERP system
- Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and purchasing.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of select production supplies
- Establish and maintain a system of Min/Max levels for all inventories.
- Prepare and perform monthly cycle counts and participate in yearly physical inventory.
- Create and maintain bin locations and labels for all inventory items, raw materials, backstock, and racking
- Provide continuous improvement of process and system.
- Inspection of all incoming shipments for correct quantities, quality, and measurement
- Track and report out a summary of issues related to incoming shipments, work with Materials Management and Production Management to reduce occurrence of issues.
OUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Leadership and Management of team of 1-5 people
- Technical Capacity - comfortable with ERP software and typical computer tools required.
- Strong Organizational Skills and continuous improvement skills
- Great Communication
- Takes Initiative.
- Ability to work across roles within the team to identify and solve problems.
- Bachelor's or associates degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar preferred but experience in the field and role is also acceptable.
- Experience with ERP software systems and inventory control experience preferred
- Hi-lo License preferred
- Microsoft Office Applications
- Be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
