Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for further review. REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and a background check.IDEAL CANDIDATE: The Ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate the ability to adapt to new technology; work in a fluctuating environment as new processes and procedures are being developed; have experience working in a warehousing/distribution environment; and will be able to multi-task, function in a fast-paced environment, be detailed oriented, and conscientious. GENERAL PURPOSE: Operate a computer and other standard business equipment and software; organize, set priorities and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines; interpret, apply and reach sound decisions in accordance with laws, rules, regulations and District procedures; make calculations and tabulations quickly and accurately; audit inventory, purchasing and receiving documents thoroughly and accurately; understand and follow written and oral instructions; prepare clear, concise and accurate records and reports. Under general supervision, performs complex technical inventory control duties and maintains an up-to-date inventory listing in the District's automated inventory management system; audits the accuracy of purchased items received; ensures adequate stock inventories are maintained; coordinates the resolution of shipping and invoicing problems with other departments; and performs related duties as assigned.NOTE: The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.ELIGIBILITY/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: -Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in any field-Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)-Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher-Available to work up to 25 hours weekly -A valid Nevada driver's license -Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campusAll interested applicants must attach their resume, letter of intent, most recent school schedule, and unofficial transcript in their application.*The Las Vegas Valley Water District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.*
