Role: Inventory Manager

Location- Orange, MA

Responsibilities and Qualifications-

Core Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain inventory and stock levels.

Manage supplier relationships and analyze demand.

Optimize storage and distribution processes.

Supervise warehouse staff and implement inventory control systems.

Handle deliveries and returns and coordinate logistics.

Analyze inventory turnover and identify slow-moving items.

Additional Responsibilities:

Track inventory using management software.

Forecast demand based on sales trends.

Enforce inventory control procedures to minimize losses.

Manage warehouse operations and layout.

Generate inventory reports for informed decision-making.

Optimize costs through efficient purchasing and supplier negotiations.

Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.

SAP Expectations:

Verify purchase orders (POs) for materials and order quantities.

Daily creation of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for stock items and individual WBS POs.

Check variance between PO value and actual receipt in SAP and obtain necessary approvals for amendments.

Post all types of materials against received reservation slips from the shop floor daily.

Maintain and monitor the inventory management system in SAP for system vs. actual quantities.

Evaluate inventory costs in SAP and report any deviations to the controller and CFO.

Assess actual inventory against SAP stock levels.

Generate consumable purchase requisitions based on minimum stock levels.

Create subcontracting gate pass documents.

Ensure timely posting of consumables to cost centers or assets.

Create rework and rejection returns documents.

Manage subcontracting transactions for correct job work inventory upon material return from vendors.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Proficiency in inventory management software.

Knowledge of supply chain principles and strong leadership abilities.

Attention to details

Problem-solving attitude

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, engineering, mathematics, or statistical analysis

Experience in demand planning

Supply chain/inventory certifications

Experience with MRP systems

Experience with data gathering and analytics
