Job Description

MURR is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our Research Reactor supply chain team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our inventory systems, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, and maintaining optimal stock levels for both GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and non-GMP materials. This role involves a combination of technical, administrative, and operational duties aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Update digital inventories to reflect current physical inventory levels. - Implement and maintain new inventory systems, including barcode systems, automatic checkouts, and digital inventory systems. - Author and assist in Laboratory Investigations Reports (LIR) when materials fail to meet specifications. - Communicate with the production group regarding inventory needs for both GMP and non-GMP materials. - Ensure all items required by PSO are in stock, including relocating items as necessary. - Actively count critical and sub-critical inventory items to maintain accurate records. - Manage the organization and execution of expired materials waste streams, including acids, bases, and other short-expiry items. - Stock items that have been released by Quality Control Controlled Materials. - Maintain ideal storage conditions for items in Release Rooms. - Change and route material specification sheet changes through the cGMP documentation change process. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to inventory management and material handling. - Assist with other production tasks as needed and assigned.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Proficiency with inventory management software. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Ability to author technical reports and handle documentation processes effectively. - Strong communication skills for coordinating with various departments. - Familiarity with implementing and maintaining digital and automated inventory systems. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with barcode systems and automated inventory checkouts. - Knowledge of laboratory investigation processes and quality control procedures. - Understanding of proper storage conditions and handling of various materials, including hazardous substances. - Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within a GMP-regulated environment.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00
