Job Description :

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels of pipe fittings and component materials, and finished goods by tracking incoming and outgoing inventory, conducting regular cycle counts, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with production teams to ensure smooth production flow while minimizing stockouts and overstocking; key duties include receiving deliveries, managing inventory systems, analyzing data to forecast demand, and resolving any inventory related issues that may arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
  • Accurately record inventory data into the manufacturing management system (MMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Manage inventory storage locations to optimize space utilization.
  • Issue raw materials and components to production lines based on production schedules.
  • Monitor material usage on the production floor and address any shortages.
  • Generate inventory reports on stock levels, usage trends, and potential issues.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including damaged goods or missing items.
  • Implement procedures to prevent future inventory errors.
  • Maintain and update inventory management software with accurate data.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Minimum one year of inventory management and ERP experience.
  • Strong acumen of Microsoft Excel and formula functionalities.

Some tasks require the ability to travel, visit industrial/commercial facilities and move around such facilities freely.
