So, what will you be doing?The Plant Inventory Specialist will manage equipment partsinventory at the Demopolis, AL facility warehouse, and satellite warehouses offsite and work within the parts requisition process and inventory managementsystem in the ERPWho you are?Key Accountabilities:

  • Preparebid awards requiring senior management approval.
  • Maintainrecords of goods ordered and received at the Critical Spares Warehouse inDemopolis, AL
  • Reviewpurchase requirements from manufacturing plants and place necessarypurchase orders with vendors
  • Ensurecorrect setup of inventory items in ERP system and maintain up to datepurchase prices. Implement minimum inventory on-hand and automatic reorderpoints.
  • Reviewon-hand inventory and variances from physical inventory counts
  • Optimizethe procurement of spares and general plant supplies, exploiting economiesof sales and driving down unit pricing.
  • Locatevendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in orderto determine product availability and terms of sales.
  • Assistwith Developing and implementing purchasing and contract managementinstructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Preparereports regarding inventory levels, inventory ageing, procurementperformance against budgets for management review.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor'sdegree is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Knowledgeof raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and othertechniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution ofgoods
