Investment Analyst - Opdenergy : Job Details

Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

Opdenergy is now looking for an Investment Analyst as part of the exponential growth of the company.

What you will help with

• Provide critical support in the financial analysis/valuation process for acquisition opportunities involved in both constructing new financial models for development assets as well as reviewing seller models for development and operational assets.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on acquisition opportunities engaging both internal and external subject matter experts and advisors to evaluate projects feasibility and profitability and facilitate investment decisions and approval processes.
• Prepare and deliver investment memos and presentations, financial analysis reports, and valuation and sensitivity analysis for internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Support offtake agreements, Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiations, and other commercial development efforts.
• Perform market research and monitor industry developments, regulatory updates, and emerging trends.

Who you are

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role; experience in the energy sector is a must. Investment banking experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
