Join our dynamic investment team as we manage a $9 billion multi-asset class fund that significantly impacts the retirement futures of 120,000 participants. As an Analyst or Senior Analyst, you will help execute our long-term, endowment-style investment strategy. This role is ideal for entrepreneurial, intellectually curious, and self-motivated individuals eager to develop their investment and analytical skills within a close-knit team.Your daily responsibilities include evaluating investment opportunities, performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, conducting market research, assessing investment managers, evaluating investment teams and individuals, and analyzing and reporting on the overall portfolio and its investments. We seek a proactive self-starter eager to engage in all facets of the investment process, offering numerous unique and intriguing learning opportunities through managing our sophisticated, multi-billion-dollar institutional fund.The role involves primarily investing in uncorrelated strategies across public and private markets, with exposure to several other asset classes over time. You will diligence hedge funds employing uncorrelated strategies such as equity market neutral, fixed income relative value, multi-strategy multi-PM, and macro approaches. Additionally, you will assess uncorrelated investments in private markets, including insurance-related investments, reinsurance, royalties, and other esoteric asset classes, along with portfolio-wide projects.ESSENTIAL FUCNTIONS: Investment Research & Analysis (~60%)
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment managers to understand their investment strategies market opportunities, judgment, alignment with investors, team dynamics, and other key factors. This process will be supported through meetings with prospective and existing investment managers, taking notes, and reflecting on the discussions to refine your investment analysis skills.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze a wide range of asset classes/strategies, reflecting the portfolio's diverse investment strategies. This involves monitoring various markets through reviewing research and market reports, developing trackers for portfolio positioning, and keeping an updated calendar of notable market data releases and events.
  • Portfolio-Wide Initiatives: Support portfolio construction and asset allocation efforts.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting (~30%)
  • Performance Monitoring: Create and maintain analytical reports to evaluate and monitor the performance of both prospective and existing investments.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate performance and exposure reports for the Fund's diversifying asset class investments, and compile summaries of investment managers' market outlooks.
  • Investment Updates: Regularly engage with our existing investments on a monthly or quarterly basis to assess changes in organization or strategy, and review performance, positioning, and outlook.
Additional Responsibilities (~10%)
  • Collaboration: Work with senior Investment team members across all aspects of the investment process.
  • Presentation Preparation: Assist in preparation of materials
  • Special Projects: Conduct special projects as needed.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: One to five years of investment or finance-related experience; this could be within investment management, investment banking, consulting or another field.
  • Education: Strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Certification: Desire to pursue the CFA designation (preferred, not required).
  • Technical Skills: Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft OneNote, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring 3-4 days in the office most weeks, with occasional remote weeks, especially around holidays, and involves approximately 10% travel.
