Investment Banking Associate - Technology Team

Position Overview: Our client, a bulge bracket investment bank, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Associate to join their Technology team in San Francisco. As an Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting senior bankers in executing transactions, managing client relationships, and driving the growth of our technology investment banking practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of M&A, equity, and debt transactions, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and preparation of pitch books and other client presentations.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communication and ensuring client needs are met promptly and professionally.
• Participate in due diligence processes, including reviewing financial statements, conducting market analysis, and assessing business risks.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

• MBA from a top-tier business school or equivalent advanced degree or 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, preferably within the technology sector. Prior experience as an analyst is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and senior management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
