Job DescriptionDescription A Senior Associate or Vice President in the Financial Sponsors Group(FSG) is responsible for supporting senior coverage officers and their private equity clients. Overall, a Senior Associate or VP in FSG plays a crucial role in managing new and existing relationships, originating and executing transactions, providing strategic advice and contributing to the growth and success of the FSG franchise. The Senior Associate or VP will have the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with the largest and most dynamic investors in private equity and will be expected to think critically and strategically around the best ways to add value and resources to these institutions. Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborating with various internal groups such as industry coverage, capital markets, leveraged finance and M&A to provide fulsome and integrated solutions to clients. The Senior Associate or VP within FSG will leverage the full breadth of firm resources to deliver comprehensive services to our clients
- Remaining current on market trends, industry dynamics and deal opportunities relevant for clients and providing senior coverage officers with regular updates
- Supporting senior coverage, industry and product bankers on the execution of client transactions. Including but not limited to M&A, Leveraged Finance and Public Issuances
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with new and existing clients. Expected to provide transaction support to senior coverage officers while continuing think creatively about new deal opportunities
Required Background
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and5+ years of investment banking experience. MBA or other accreditation preferred
- Experience in credit underwriting
- Experience in financial modeling
- Lives in New York or willing to relocate
Experience Skills
- Excellent financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lead a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
- Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
- Demonstrated team player and leader
- Positive attitude and problem solver
The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000 The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
