Job Description :

As the Director of Private Equity Investments, you will lead climate transition-focused investments, targeting companies advancing decarbonization and sustainable technologies. This includes renewable energy, clean technology, energy efficiency, carbon capture, energy storage, electric mobility, and sustainable agriculture. You will shape investment strategies, execute deals, and manage portfolio companies, driving financial returns and measurable environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a focused strategy for climate transition, targeting high-growth sectors like clean tech, energy transition, carbon capture, and advanced sustainability technologies.
  • Stay at the forefront of regulatory, market, and technological developments shaping the low-carbon economy.

Deal Sourcing & Execution:

  • Source and evaluate investment opportunities with robust financial and environmental impact potential.
  • Lead due diligence, including financial modeling, market assessment, and ESG impact analysis.
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute transactions that align with the firm's objectives.

Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee and grow portfolio companies, ensuring strong financial and environmental outcomes.
  • Drive operational improvements and integrate ESG strategies for value creation.
  • Support exit strategies, including IPOs and sale processes, maximizing returns and impact alignment.

Leadership & Development:

  • Mentor and lead a team of investment professionals, fostering a high-performance, mission-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, ESG) for seamless execution and monitoring.

Industry Engagement:

  • Represent the firm at climate finance and sustainable investment forums, building networks with industry leaders, policymakers, and potential partners.
  • Track emerging investment opportunities in climate transition technology and innovation.

Key Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

Experience:

  • 8-12+ years in private equity, with a track record in climate transition sectors like renewable energy or clean technology.
  • Experience structuring and managing complex investments from origination to exit.

Skills:

  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of climate transition sectors and ESG frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
