We are looking for a bright, motivated, engaged individual who is interested in a career in in-house corporate investor relations. In this role you will have the opportunity to interact with many aspects of the business including the finance, treasury, investor relations and corporate communications teams, as well as, eventually with various business heads and executives across the Firm. For the right person, this could be a stepping-stone into a more senior investor relations position. If they do not have a strong background in finance, this person will be encouraged to take the CFA, for which investor relations is an eligible work experience role. Alternatively, and if eligible, the CPA exam.
Responsibilities:
* Interact regularly with team leader, finance team, marketing, corporate communications, and/or senior executives to craft and communicate a cohesive narrative to the investment community.
* Assist in the development, revision, and distribution of regular investor communications, including earnings releases, investor presentations, and presentations to credit ratings agencies.
* Compile and analyze data to assist the Investor Relations team and senior executives communicate effectively with investors, prospective investors, and sell-side analysts.
* Assist in the development, revision, and distribution of earnings materials.
* Monitor, understand, and communicate the performance of major peers to senior executives.
* Support the communication of important news items to senior management.
* Prepare and proofread general correspondence including emails, letters, memos, and reports.
* Learn from the investor relations team as well as finance, corporate communications, and various business leaders.
* Assist in retail shareholder questions/issue resolution, as needed.
* Primary operator of the capital markets database and intelligence system that supports the investor relations program.
* Maintains or directs suppliers for the IR website section and content.
* Helps coordinate interactions with IR vendors.
* Performs various administrative tasks for the team including scheduling meetings, handling logistics of in-person investor/analyst meetings, processing vendor invoices, and completing expense reports for the team leader.
Qualifications:
* Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
* College graduate - preferably with a major in economics, accounting, finance, or business.
* Interested in pursuing a career in finance and/or in commercial real estate services.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and keep track of deadlines.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* An energetic, efficient, self-motivating and resourceful team player and individual contributor.
* Work experience in financial services or commercial real estate services a plus.
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $85000 to $100000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
