Position Title: Investor Relations Manager
Reports To: Executive Vice President

POSITION SUMMARY
Cornerstone Alliance is the lead non-profit economic development organization for Berrien County, Michigan. The Investor Relations Manager strengthens connections with investors, builds lasting community partnerships, and supports key fundraising initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring that investors are engaged and informed, while also acting as an ambassador for Cornerstone Alliance in the Berrien County community. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in investor relations, event coordination, community outreach, and grant writing, all aimed at driving long-term organizational success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Investor Relations & Engagement
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, ensuring long-term support and collaboration.
• Work with the marketing team to develop and deliver effective communication strategies to keep investors informed of key updates, milestones, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create investor-focused content and promotional materials.
• Partner with the Finance department to ensure timely distribution of annual tax letters and other investor-related documentation.
Investor Acquisition & Retention
• Develop and maintain a targeted prospecting list to attract new investors.
• Create and deliver compelling investment pitches that articulate the value proposition and benefits of supporting Cornerstone Alliance.
• Monitor and report on investor engagement levels, ensuring a high degree of satisfaction.
• Prepare regular reports and updates on investor activities for leadership.
Community Engagement & Outreach
• Act as a liaison to the local community by responding to inquiries, representing the organization at community events, and facilitating valuable connections.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, civic organizations, and other stakeholders to support Cornerstone Alliance's mission.
• Serve as a trusted ambassador for the organization, fostering positive relationships and goodwill within the community.
Fundraising & Grant Writing
• Identify potential funding opportunities and assist in developing compelling grant proposals.
• Research new investment prospects and craft strategic outreach initiatives.
• Support the execution of fundraising campaigns in collaboration with internal teams.
• Track, analyze, and report on fundraising performance, including follow-ups with investors to ensure they realize the benefits of their contributions.
Event Planning & Coordination
• Assist with the execution of high-impact investor and community events that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
• Collaborate with leadership and the marketing team to design programming that adds value for investors and strengthens community ties.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investor relations, community engagement, fundraising, or a related role.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in creating professional reports and presentations.
• Event planning, grant writing, and/or fundraising experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Familiarity with the Berrien County community and its business ecosystem is a plus.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
