Job DetailsJob Location Anchor Fabrication MS Walnut - Walnut, MS Description Iron workers build and install columns, girders, and structural frameworks out of iron and steel. To do so, they read and interpret blueprints, specifications and work orders. Iron workers cut, grind and weld metal to shape it to specific parameters. Iron workers stack, load and unload steel and iron pieces. Iron workers follow all company, state and federal safety regulations, and wear proper protective gear while working. The iron worker's daily duties can vary depending on the structure they're erecting, the size of the team and the environmental conditions in which they are working. Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Position requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Position may require bending, kneeling and stooping
- Previous experience working in a metal manufacturing environment is preferred
- Responsible for continually maintaining a clean working environment
- Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance
- Use proper PPE and follow all safety procedures
