Ironworker Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and reliable Ironworker to join our team. You must be able to interpret blueprints and collaborate with other professionals on the job to ensure a mutual understanding of project scope and responsibilities. Our ideal candidate can measure, cut, and grind metal to specifications, checking that it matches the design plans. Once the components are ready, you utilize them in building, reinforcing, or repairing structures. Experience operating large machinery, such as crane balls, is also required.Ironworker Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and understand blueprints and project layoutMeasure and cut metal parts to exact specificationsInstall or fabricate metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworksRepair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structuresOperate crane ball and other machinery to move metal pieces into placeClean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good conditionFollow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocolsIronworker Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentSome experience in welding or construction preferredKnowledge of how to handle metal properlyProficient in industry tools and equipment, such as hand and power tools and welding devicesExcellent communication skills and attention to detailAble to lift at least 35 pounds and stand for extended periodsAbout UsAtlas Welding & Fabrication, Inc. is a family owned and operated company that was founded in 1977.
