HDR Engineering is in search of an experienced Irrigation Lead to help lead our irrigation practice.Charged with assisting in the growth and technical leadership of the group, the Irrigation Lead will be tasked with coordinating, managing, or executing the planning and design of hydraulic/irrigation focused civil design projects. The candidate will lead a group of professionals in the management, execution and production of studies, designs, reports, plans and specifications for a diverse range of hydraulic facilities and structures.QualificationsRequired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• PE license
• 7 years related experience
• 2 years project management experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• 10+ years Water Resources experience, emphasis on irrigation preferred.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
• Experience in water resources planning, hydrology/hydraulics, drainage/flood control design and irrigation.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Experience with planning, design, and construction of water storage reservoirs, pumping plants, river diversions, conveyance and control facilities, hydropower, and erosion control is desirable.
• Will work independently as well as plan organize and supervise work of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project/task.
• Experience should include business development related to irrigation projects and working with irrigation districts, the Bureau of Reclamation, Army Corp of Engineers, and Natural Resources Conservation Service. Experience with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribes is desired.
• Proven ability to mentor and supervise staff is desired.
