Overview:

Georgia Crown Distributing is looking for a IS Manager for our McDonough Georgia location. This is an in person position- no remote work is performed.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage software systems employees within the IT department including Developers, Analysts, and BI personnel
  • Perform interviews, hiring, training, counseling, performance reviews, termination, etc. of direct reports
  • Provide operational direction for software and application needs of the business.
  • Act as the Project Manager for application development, enhancement, and implementation projects.
  • Work with departmental managers to define short term and long term needs of the business.
  • Work in conjunction with office staff, warehouse, delivery, sales and corporate departments to ensure a teamwork atmosphere and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Show professionalism at all times: Attire, Conduct, Time Management, Proper and Thorough Follow Up, Presentations, Proposals and Relationship Building.
  • Create and maintain Change Management processes for all software and application changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Work with Business Analysts to provide specifications for application projects.
  • This position will be hands on and will require the manager to back up and assist the Business Analysts and Developers with their assigned duties as needed
  • Manage implementation of on premise and cloud applications.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
Qualifications:
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to handle multiple problems without losing composure.
  • Must have good organizational and written skills.
  • Software lifecycle experience required.
  • Experience with RPG development or implementing and supporting similar technologies.
  • ITIL recommended
  • Solid logical troubleshooting and problem solving skills..
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with the IT team, users, leadership and vendors.
  • Must have a four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
  • Background Checks (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks)
  • Motor Vehicle Record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility o Cannot have DUI, reckless driving or hit and run in past 5 years. o Cannot have more than 2 moving violations,accidents or super speeder in past 3 years.
