IT AdministratorA. Job ResponsibilitiesThe IT Administrator will be responsible for providing all internal IT infrastructure including but not limited to networking, computers and servers (both in-premises and cloud based), active directory, software licensing and installations, etc. The ideal candidate will have a good background in networking and security support and improve upon the current Gregory Construction infrastructure. This position will be hands-on and will support all levels of the company.B. Job FunctionsSummary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • C. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
  • Maintain all aspects of the Gregory Construction network in regard to on-premises and cloud servers, firewalls, VPNs, switches and equipment endpoints.
  • Set-up and installation of devices (laptop, surfaces, desktop and cell phone) to end users and decommission/reset of same devices as needed.
  • Maintain network and computer system security and ensure that all systems are operating correctly.
  • Configure and maintain firewall, anti-virus, anti-malware, etc. for internal network protection.
  • Troubleshoot Windows profile, printers, shared drives related issues.
  • Deploying standard imaging on all desktops and laptops
  • Evaluate, propose, plan, and implement network maintenance and backup requirements.
  • Collect data to evaluate the networks or system's performance and help make the system work better and faster.
  • Train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Solve problems when a user or an automated monitoring system informs them that a problem exists.
  • Work with new hires on gaining access to company systems and ensure proper understanding of using system.
  • Document IT procedures and policies for formal IT documentation and NIST compliance.
  • Responsible for all IT supply inventory management to include hardware and software.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service and take ownership of user problems and be pro-active when dealing with user issues.

  • E. Education and Experience
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior Customer Support experience, iOS and Windows preferred.
  • Experience with Networking and VMware required.
  • Experience in company phone systems.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under high-pressure situations and maintain confidentiality
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion - often with deadline pressures
