CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for an IT Site Technician.

Description:

The IT Site Technician will provide technical assistance and support for incoming service requests/incidents related to computer systems, software, hardware, and infrastructure at a manufacturing facility. This position may require 24/7 on-call coverage. The candidate will work primarily with Microsoft-based applications, including Windows 7/10/11 and MS Office suites (2010/2013/2016/O365), and rely on internal training and previous knowledge to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Active Directory Administration
  • Limited support for corporate mobile devices
  • Troubleshooting Cisco VPN connectivity
  • Remediating/minimizing anti-virus threats
  • Remote connection/utilization
  • Imaging and deployment server utilization
  • Asset lifecycle management skills
  • Various browser support (IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
  • Installation/configuration of software and security packages
  • Printer/driver troubleshooting & installation
  • IPT-based telephony device management
  • ServiceNow (ticket management) utilization
  • Deployment, configuration, and support of standard IP telephony
  • Hardware ordering and inventory management
  • Limited support for Mac OS and hardware
  • Additional responsibilities may include:
    • Documentation management
    • On-boarding (Training) of new hires
    • Conference room support
    • Vendor engagement
    • Project participation
    • Customer scheduling/follow-ups
    • End-user equipment moves (disconnect/reconnect)
    • Cross-team collaboration
    • Smart-Hands tasks/functions to assist other IT teams
    • Desktop Imaging and deployment
    • Cybersecurity vulnerability mitigation
    • Other tasks as needed

Meeting Support:

  • Collaborate with media teams and IT for meeting support and troubleshooting
  • Perform testing, monitoring, analysis, and resolution of performance issues
  • Troubleshoot issues and assign to appropriate teams for resolution
  • Knowledge of conference room audio and display devices

Smart Hands:

  • Assist external IT teams with infrastructure installation, server reboots, and IT equipment management
  • Manage IT hardware installations and physical server/network gear reboot
  • Power cycle IT equipment and provide remote console access
  • Escort IT vendors and procure IT goods and services
  • Ensure discreet handling of business matters with the highest level of confidentiality

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree (minimum)
  • 2+ years of related IT experience, particularly in hardware installation and troubleshooting beyond imaging/deployment

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • CompTIA Mobility+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Server+

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in time management and task prioritization
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills, adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team

Desired Skills:

  • Hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and support
  • Basic knowledge of network configuration (Smart Hands)
  • Active Directory administration
  • Experience with deployment servers
  • Basic knowledge management
