Position Summary

Our client is hiring a dedicated Information Technology Engineer for evening shifts to support system changes and upgrades in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. This full-time role focuses on maintaining and enhancing desktop infrastructure during off-hours to minimize disruptions to daily operations.

Role Description

As an Evening Shift Information Technology Engineer, you'll be responsible for executing system upgrades, relocations, and installations within a dynamic technology environment. By leveraging automated tools and efficient workflows, you'll ensure that upgrades and modifications integrate seamlessly with existing setups and business needs. You'll work hands-on with desktop and network systems, optimizing evening work hours to complete technical initiatives without interrupting daytime activities.

Key responsibilities include configuring and deploying user workstations, managing assets, ordering equipment, supporting new hire setups, relocating desktop equipment, and aiding in infrastructure expansion efforts. You'll also contribute to the rollout of new technologies and build experience with both technical infrastructure and project coordination. Close collaboration with vendors and service partners will be critical to uphold our high standards for service and support quality.

Please note that the role involves some physical activities, such as moving equipment up to 50 lbs.

Candidate Profile

• Practical experience managing and implementing technical infrastructure projects, preferably in an IT operations or support role
• Skilled in working with third-party service providers and contractors
• Proficient in project coordination tools (e.g., Jira, Google Workspace, Excel)
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, networking fundamentals, and a drive to expand your technical knowledge
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated
• Team player with a commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues in clear, concise terms
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities effectively
• Available to work evening shifts, with occasional weekend hours as needed
• Knowledge of scripting or automation for Windows (especially PowerShell) is advantageous
