The IT Generalist assists the Director of IT in assuring sufficient IT tools to support all departments and ministries of CCHO in their required tasks and provides training and supervision of the use of information technology according to Agency policies. The IT Generalist provides technical service to end users and must be able to communicate technical things clearly and kindly to non-technical people.Rewards:

Requirements:
- Knowledge of network management and maintenance, the ability to service and/or troubleshoot networked PCs, peripherals, and servers.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Provide friendly customer service and communicate with non-technical staff in terms and language meaningful to the staff member. Must be reliably able to communicate technology information to an employee population comprised of diverse levels of expertise.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical certifications preferred.
- Preferred Experience with VMware, Microsoft 365 administration, Entra (formerly Azure)
- Comptia A+, Network+, Security+, and Microsoft certifications preferred.
- Valid Ohio driver's license and a driving record that allows individual to be insurable on agency policy, as job includes occasional travel to satellite offices.
- Ability to sit at a desk or workstation, working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Must have the vision and small motor skills required to hold small pieces of hardware and connect them repeatedly.
- Frequently required to teach information security to new employees, which would include moving about a classroom, viewing a laptop screen from a distance to observe trainee performance and communicating clearly.
- Regularly able to lift/move up to 50 pounds of equipment or boxes.
Responsibilities:

- Performs assembly, configuration, setup, system troubleshooting and repair; working with, desktop and laptop computers, printers, and networked equipment and peripherals at the main campus and satellite offices.
- Creates and terminates user accounts and access.
- Enforces and monitors IT and HIPAA security measures at all times, including, but not limited to DNS security, Endpoint protection, and file rights.
- Facilitates end-user training and instruction.
- Maintains system backup and restoration procedures.
- Maintains digital door access rights
- Issues and maintains communication devices including phones (desk & mobile) and other relevant office equipment.
- Assists in wiring and termination of network cabling.
