IT Install Field Technician - Quick Quack Car Wash : Job Details

Job Summary: The IT Install Field Technician is responsible for installing all the networking, POS, and security camera infrastructure at new Quick Quack locations, while also helping facilitate the handoff of those stores to local Field techs. When scheduling allows, the IT Install Field Technician will also help with the installation of new tech and projects across the company.Essential Duties: •Work in a highly collaborative team environment with an open communication culture•Frequent use of power and hand tools to accomplish infrastructure installation requirements•Help identify systemic problems and work with engineering and leadership to create solutions•Install wash site network system including running cable and terminating connections•Troubleshoot site errors and issues until 100% operational•Administer, setup and install point of sale hardware and software•Test and configure PC software, hardware and peripheral devices•Administer software deployments on mobile platform (Apple iPad)•Organize and schedule hardware upgrades and maintenance•Ensure that installations are performed according to specs, budget and time requirements•Communicate updates to operations leaders.•Participate in a weekly on call rotation for emergency repairs.•Dispatch or coordinate with team to facilitate emergency repairs.•Other Duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Qualifications and Requirements:•Great problem solving skills•Excellent communication skills•Customer-oriented and cool-tempered•1-2 years experience installing computer and networking equipment•Self-motivated and organized individual•Proficient with all versions of Windows •Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, general network technologies, & ethernet wiring standards•Ability to work high energy team environment •Outstanding diagnostic, problem solving, and analytical skills•Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products•Ability to diagnose and resolve intermediate technical issues•High school diploma or equivalent•As driving a company rental vehicles between our stores is a regular activity, the person is expected to have a valid state driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.Work Environment and Physical Demands:The IT Install Field Technician will work in varying conditions from inside an office environment to near loud car wash equipment. They may be expected to lift up to 50 lbs or more with assistance. They will be expected to frequently use a ladder to install out of reach items as well as company provided power tools and install equipment. Given the dispersed regions they are expected to oversee, regular travel is expected and may reach upwards of 75% of the scheduled time. During peak times, travel may exceed 75%.
