POSITION SUMMARY
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our help desk while providing advanced technical support to our clients and internal stakeholders. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient resolution of IT issues, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and optimizing our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow up. Responds to unresolved inquiries and complex problems.
YOUR ROLE
• Take calls as needed to provide technical support and ensure timely resolution of work orders.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain directory services, integrating with other systems as required.
• Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) and ensure device compliance.
• Track IT inventory and procure necessary hardware and software.
• Manage and troubleshoot network devices, servers, and security tools.
• Monitor and optimize system and network performance, applying updates and patches.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot networks for seamless integration of IT systems.
• Act as a liaison with the Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and service delivery.
• Research and recommend IT solutions while staying updated on industry trends.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Provide training on hardware, software, and IT best practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (3 years) in a help desk or technical support role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows or Linux Servers.
• Proficiency in managing endpoint devices using MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory for user and identity management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN protocols.
• Project Management and excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-900 or similar are a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Common Laborer frequently stands, walks, kneels, crouches, climbs ladders, and performs physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds. This role requires close vision, color vision, and the ability to navigate uneven terrain. Work occurs primarily on active construction sites with exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noises, and moving equipment. Adherence to safety protocols is essential.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out of town stay may be required.
