Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor network security access. Identify and address vulnerabilities. Conduct regular systems tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security. Develop, update and test incident response protocols. Coordinate security plans with the IT Administrator and outside vendors. Provide recommendations and implement improvements to security policies and procedures. Develop and deliver training programs for staff on information security and compliance. Prepare reports regarding the effectiveness of security measures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest security technology and trends. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education Required Associate degree in a computer related field, information security certification, such as CompTIA Security+. Experience: Three to five years' experience in an IT security role; three to five years' experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and content filtering. Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures. Additional Requirements:
Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use. Initial and periodic physical exams required. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
