What You Will Do

As an IT Service Technician for Prime Controls, you will support the day-to-day business functions of Prime Controls employees as it pertains to using hardware, software, and systems.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

  • Prepares laptops and cell phones to be issued to Prime Controls employees according to Prime IT standards and processes.
  • Responds to, triages, and or resolves requests and incidents within our IT ticketing system.
  • Provides training and orientation services to new and existing employees on Prime IT resources including hardware and applications.
  • Maintains an orderly work area and assists in maintaining organized common/storage areas.
  • Receives and processes incoming shipments addressed to IT.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to colleagues in order to help maximize productivity.
  • Arrives at work on time with a high level of personal hygiene dressed in business-casual attire.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide IT request monitoring and response during limited hours outside of the regular business schedule.
  • Limited travel (less than 10%) to provide direct support to branch offices and job sites.

What You Will Bring

The Basic

  • High school diploma and/or some college experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft productivity suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Preferred

  • Previous IT help desk experience and/or extensive customer service experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., computer information systems, cybersecurity)
