The PC Support Technician will provide essential IT support to the Burlington site, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction. This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, as well as providing technical assistance to end-users. The incumbent will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Hardware and Software Support:

* Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals)

* Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11)

* Deploy and maintain standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)

* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, printer problems, and application errors

* Network Support:

* Assist with network troubleshooting and configuration (LAN, WAN)

* Provide support for Wi-Fi connectivity and network security

* User Support:

* Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person

* Document and resolve user issues in a timely manner

* Train users on software applications and IT best practices

* Security:

* Enforce security policies and procedures, including password policies and data protection

* Stay informed about current security threats and implement necessary measures

* Inventory Management:

* Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets

* Perform regular hardware and software audits

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

* 2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles

Additional Considerations:

* Certifications: Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.

* Scripting Skills: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is beneficial.

* Remote Support: Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Remote Desktop) is valuable.
