IT Software Engineer 4 - (48343-1/48340-1) Chicago, IL 12 months, possibility to be extended Job Description Position's Contributions to Work Group:

• You will build upon our telematics data platform which drives Caterpillar digital applications to meet organizational goals. You will work on a fast-moving agile development team on all phases of software development, attending daily standups and contributing to team design and planning sessions.

Typical task breakdown:

• Weekly feature requirements review, work breakdown / implementation plan creation, story point estimation, sprint planning, etc.

Interaction with team:

• Daily standup and constant collaboration with team members.

Work environment:

• Mostly virtual meetings, occasional need to travel/meet in Chicago office. MacBooks provided

Education & Experience Required:

• Computer Science / Engineering degree with 8+ years of experience working in software development
• Masters degree with 6+ years of experience working in software development

Technical Skills (Required)

• Java 11+
• Spring Boot
• API development: design and architecture, security best practices, OAuth 2.0
• AWS
• RDBMS: query optimization, database management, and data modeling
• CI/CD

• Great communicator (English), able to share technical details in an understandable manner and give accurate status updates
• Proactive in seeking information and sharing ideas
• Committed to team success
