We are seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our Solutions Architecture team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with various business and IT stakeholders. The role involves understanding systems architecture, security architecture, cloud infrastructure, ability to understand Equitable business systems and their interconnections and ability to advise application teams on creating IT solutions that adhere to Equitable' s reference architecture. Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the business objectives.
  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive IT solutions that align with the company's reference architecture and meet business needs.
  • Security Architecture: Knowledge of enterprise IT architecture; ability to create and evolve an enterprises' guiding principles and business architecture including organization structure, process architecture and performance management, as well as supporting information, applications and technology.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to application teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Documentation: Create detailed architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and implementation plans.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the robustness of the solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct architectural reviews and audits to ensure the quality and compliance of IT solutions.
In Office Schedule: This role will be working in office 2-3 days per week. The base salary range for this position is $107,000 - $139,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Equitable Pay and Benefits: Equitable Total Rewards Program Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on financial services.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in designing complex IT solutions and architectures.
    • Established understanding of security architecture and best practices.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
    • Experience in architecting and designing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Must have a understanding of low-code/no-code environments and the ability to create scalable, secure and efficient solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
    • Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, Microsoft Power Platform)
Skills Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery. Documentation Architecture and Design: Knowledge of documentation architecture and design; ability to build efficient processes, use appropriate tools and technique, and create complete documentation portfolios for software or technology products. Enterprise IT Architecture: Knowledge of enterprise IT architecture; ability to create and evolve an enterprises' guiding principles and business architecture including organization structure, process architecture and performance management, as well as supporting information, applications and technology. Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements. Solution Architecture (SA): Knowledge of concepts behind solution architecture; ability to develop technology blueprints for addressing business problems and computing requirements. Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of big picture thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
