Work experience
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop hardware and software issues, primarily during onboarding and offboarding.
- Readily available to chat or speak with new users to troubleshoot any connectivity/hardware issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, laptops, and other peripherals.
- Respond to and support requests in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access management.
- Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on various software and hardware.
- Assist other IT personnel with other duties, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Experience with a help desk ticketing system.
- Ability to organize and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Must be a self-starter and comfortable in high pressure situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge
- High school diploma required.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, etc.) and common software applications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft O365, SharePoint, and experience with various browsers preferred.
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools and support software preferred.
