Fairview Range is hiring an IT Support Specialist for our Information Technology department in Hibbing, MN. As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide mid-level support to users through calls routed to the Technical Service Center (IT Help Desk). You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of resolutions. Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours. The shift will typically be Day shift with the potential for an occassional Evening, Night, and Weekend shifts. As an IT Support Specialist, you are responsible for: Documenting user requests for service appropriately, recording callers demographic information correctly, and recording the problem into the Call Management system following documented procedures. Follow documented workflow processes to reset clinical, financial, and network devices, reroute, delete and restart print jobs, and reset passwords for applications, documenting into the Call Management System. Completes server reboots as scheduled or requested. Assist with life cycle replacements. Perform software and hardware installs. Determines and resolves system problems effectively. Maintains accurate internal records and logs as instructed or established. Demonstrates a willingness to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Assists in the setting up of computers and peripheral equipment as requested by supervisor. Required Qualifications High school Diploma 1 year of training or experience with basic computer skills. Typing ability and speed necessary. Preferred Qualifications Computer experience in a health care facility desirable. 1-3 years of training or experience with basic computer skills.
