Systems Solutions is an Information Technology Managed Services Provider located in Paducah, KY. We currently have an opening for an IT Support Specialist. There are two possible workplace locations for this position. Candidates will be considered to fill a position based in Systems Solutions' Paducah, KY office. Additional candidates will be considered for a remote position that reside within approximately 30 miles of McLeansboro, IL.Applicants should have strong customer service skills and experience troubleshooting Microsoft Desktop systems and applications. Experience supporting general networking, Microsoft Server operating systems, and virtualization is a plus.Essential duties and skills include:Strong Customer Service SkillsProviding Level 1 and Level 2 Remote and Onsite technical support to clients.Works effectively within a team structure.Can effectively implement and provide support for business-class hardware/software.Work within a ticketing system and maintain a ticket queue.Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date client documentation.Maintain up-to-date records of work performed on trouble tickets.Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.Communicate effectively with users to provide updates on trouble tickets.Maintain appropriate industry skills and certifications.1+ years experience in an IT help desk or desktop support environment or equivalent educational experienceExperience troubleshooting or supporting Microsoft platforms (e.g. Office 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows)Knowledge of basic networking principles, what they mean, and how they interact (TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN)Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining peripherals (scanners, fax machines, printers, etc.)Experience troubleshooting standard hardware issues and running diagnosticsAn understanding of standard IT Security practices (virus remediation, firewalls, phishing, etc.)Basic Apple, Mac OS, and iOS troubleshooting experience a plusDemonstrable ability to quickly learn and support various business applicationsAn Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field1-3 years customer service experience.Salary: $20-30/hour, depending on experienceBenefits include: generous PTO, 401k, health insurance, disability, life insurance, company car, and other benefits.
