We are hiring an IT Systems Administrator III, for our Latham, NY office, located at 1187 Troy Schenectady Road.Starting pay, $87-90k based on experience.Why join the Sunmark Squad? Business Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-5pm. Will be part of “on call” weekly rotation as needed.The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the daily operations and administration for Sunmark Credit Union's Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environment.· Monitors the availability and health of all servers and server applications. Assists with the collection of related data and communication of daily operating statistics. · Responsible for vulnerability remediation for servers and endpoints to maintain the security and integrity of member and non-member data. Collaborates regularly with the Information Security team to review the current security levels and coordinate an implementation schedule to mitigate new threats discovered.· Responsible for patch management for all servers and endpoints. Tests and implements upgrades for all endpoints as they become available and in a timely manner. · Assists in ensuring that Service Desk tickets, emails and phone calls related to server applications are responded to promptly. Provides excellent service in each interaction, consistent with the Credit Union's mission of exceeding expectations. Documents support escalation requests and solutions in tracking software. Communicate status and resolution to all parties involved. This includes troubleshooting hardware failures, application faults, and database errors.· Mentors junior staff and provides guidance and training of all server applications to implement best practices for all systems.· Supports quarterly Disaster Recovery testing of enterprise systems.· Collaborate with IT Core Solutions team to support issue resolution within the Core banking system and associated vendor specific systems and applications.· Responsible for assisting with various tasks related to scheduled audits and improvements related to audit findings.· Learning and working with branch automation technologies such as Instant Issue Debit/Credit card printers and Check Printers plus assisting with the integration and management related to the Core banking system and Sunmark's infrastructure. · Assists with utilizing and suggesting improvements in documentation of various IT practices. Works with IT team and management to produce end user documentation.· Works on projects and Nightly/Weekend/Month End on an as needed basis. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 7 years Information Technology career experience to include the maintenance of Microsoft Windows Operating System, RHEL, VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Ten years or more experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare or equivalent certification/training preferred but not required. Expert level knowledge of automation techniques including scripting experience and PowerShell experience.
