Job Summary The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Sportech's IT systems on premises and in the cloud, ensuring optimal performance, security and reliability. This role requires a dedicated professional that will provide technical assistance, support all end users, and lead network and infrastructure projects to maintain seamless operations while supporting our growth. Essential Job Functions
- System Maintenance and Monitoring: Oversee the daily performance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications. Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance tasks.
- Network Management: Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs. Ensure network security and connectivity across all company locations. Analyze, maintain, design, and implement network and systems infrastructure solutions to enable business growth while maintaining data and technology security.
- User Support: Provide technical support to employees to troubleshoot and resolve daytime and after-hours production issues in a timely manner. At times services in an on-call capacity. Conduct training sessions to enhance user proficiency with IT systems.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems. Monitor for suspicious/malicious behavior and respond to incidents swiftly. Manage training and awareness campaign.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Regularly test backup and recovery procedures.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for IT services, hardware, and software procurement. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Create user manuals and guides as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
- May have supervisory responsibility and provide work direction to direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field.
- 3 years System Administration experience including Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP), MS Exchange, hypervisor, unified storage systems, wireless technologies, and information security solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure).
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel, and at all organizational levels.
- Excellent time management skills, and the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent planning and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to respond to system issues on a 24-hour basis is preferred.
- Previous experience with SQL Server management, Visual Basic, VMWare, and Epicor ERP is preferred.
