Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a IT Systems Administrator to join our growing team.This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.POSITION DESCRIPTION Maintains and supports the integrity of the information and communication systems, including servers, networking equipment, and end-user devices in tandem with more experienced administrators for 1200+ employees primarily on Office 365, VMware, and Cisco networking. The following essential job functions are performed as a Systems Administrator I:

  • Proactively monitors and administers a variety of systems and networks.
  • Coordinates downtime and performs security patches and software upgrades.
  • Travels to various company sites to evaluate connectivity and install new hardware.
  • Collaborates with team members to identify and implement system improvements.
  • Creates documentation and maintains licensing agreements.
  • Acts as first escalation point for helpdesk support.
  • May cross train team members on a wide array of servers and applications.
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program. QUALIFICATIONSDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience required.
  • Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must be familiar with Windows and Office 365 administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, and installation and troubleshooting of unfamiliar applications.
  • Administration experience with virtual machines, Linux, Cisco, backup/recovery software, and automation tools preferred.
  • Network+ and Security+ certifications preferred.
  • Must be willing to participate in week-long on-call rotation.
  • Must have excellent customer service communication skills.
  • Must be accommodating and flexible while maintaining priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently within established IT administration procedures.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Salary range for this role is between $68,000 - $90,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
