Technology Test Lead GENERAL PURPOSE Leads major cross functional coordinated testing events by collaborating with Technology and Business Transformation stakeholders, to create an overall test strategy and governance, identify and document critical test cases and own the execution of the test event against a plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Drives strategy for testing. Documents and communicates test plan. Engages stakeholders to confirm and align expectations. Develops strategic testing systems and best practices, and enforces compliance requirements (entry and exit criteria, etc.) Experience leading and formulating test script scenarios: system, integration, user acceptance, and dress rehearsal scripts. Acts as liaison to multiple business units, representing their testing needs for functionality and enhancements impacting the business. Builds and communicates understanding of objectives and requirements to better support specific deliverables. Responsible for leading daily test standups and reporting out test event results. Coordinates defect resolution and test completions. Analyzes and documents current state ('As-Is') and future state ('To-Be') processes in line with project scope. Utilizes technical expertise to define, design, and implement testing solutions that meet business requirements. In-depth knowledge of software testing tools, processes and methodologies Strong problem solving and analytic skills. Able to work through the process of detecting and correcting flawed process steps Develops software selection criteria for automating regression testing and leads the selection process. Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience typically obtained by working a minimum five years in an IT environment. Minimum five years of professional information systems work, including an understanding of hardware and software technology, and development, testing and deployment methodologies. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledgeable of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Broad understanding of business processes, information flow, and related systems. Ability to view opportunities and solutions from a broad, long-term perspective. Ability to work alone, perform as a team member, and lead small-to-medium projects. Ability to write SQL queries, coupled with a strong understanding of database structures and relationships to support data analysis and reporting tasks. Experience with Agile software development methodologies, including participating in Test report outs, Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of high-quality technology solutions. Successful experience in achieving results on small-to-large projects that involved specifying requirements, testing solutions, documenting processes and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills.
