IT Video and Camera Service Technician - CounterTrade Products : Job Details

CounterTrade Products, Inc. is seeking a qualified Information Technology (IT) Camera and Access Control Service Technician to handle the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of IP cameras and associated access control technologies. The ideal candidate has prior experience with both Axis and Verkada branded components as well as a working knowledge of networking as it relates to IP cameras and door access systems. The position requires knowledge of associated equipment including DVR, NAS, and other storage devices used in conjunction with IP cameras.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Required

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of IP cameras and associated devices including DVR and NAS
• Cleaning of cameras in both indoor and outdoor locations
• Availability to be dispatched within 48 hours to address issues at customer locations
• Troubleshooting of system issues from the camera to storage location
• Validation of cabling within camera systems
• Running and removal of cabling related to camera systems

Preferred

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of access control solutions with preferences to Axis, Verkada, iPro and Aviligion
• IT rooted understanding of LTE devices used to connect remote installations over cellular including but not limited to Cradlepoint cellular routers

Education and skills include but are not limited to:

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to pass a CJIS criminal background check
• Familiarity with power tools including drills
• Valid Colorado drivers license and clean driving record
• Ability to climb a ladder and work at heights above 10'
• Self motivated and customer oriented

Preferred

• College degree in related technical field
• Ability to properly calculate storage requirements for proposed systems based on proposed devices.
• Related Axis and Verkada vendor certifications or the ability to obtain them shortly after employment
• IT related certifications preferred including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
