Overview Join Coborn's as our new Item Data Specialist! As our Item Data Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate, consistent, and optimized product data is presented across our several e-commerce systems! You will focus on managing product data through its lifecycle, including enhancing product descriptions, images, and keywords to improve the searchability of our products online. You will also become an expert in troubleshooting data issues, maintaining documents of processes, and collaborating across several teams including eCommerce, Marketing, Merchandising, IT, and Customer Service. Driving sales, operational efficiency, and business growth is important on our Coborn's team so we are looking for someone like you to ensure our customers are having the best e-commerce experience!   • System Documentation and Process Management
    • Develop documentation on the complete end-to-end process of how product data flows through various systems and impacts end results (shelf tags, promotions, e-commerce, etc). Update documentation as required.
    • Develop and support item domain standards to ensure consistent and accurate data management
  • Product Data Management
      • Manage item data through its product life cycle to ensure the accuracy and consistency of item data such as availability, pricing, promotions, product descriptions, photos, keywords, and other attributes.
      • Ensure product listings are optimized for searchability (SEO) and aligned with the company's brand guidelines. Update product keywords as necessary.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for all product data and item updates across the organization, liaising with marketing, merchandising, IT, and customer service teams.
      • Perform regular audits to validate data accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
      • Collaborate with content providers (e.g., Syndigo) to ensure high-quality product content.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for all product data, item updates, and promotions across the organization, liaising with e-commerce, marketing, merchandising, IT, and customer service teams.
  • Catalog Feed Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    • Serve as the subject matter expert on our product catalog feed, understanding its intricacies, data sources, and how it integrates with our eCommerce platform.
    • Ensure the product feed is optimized for performance, that we're leveraging all available fields to their fullest extent and that all items are accurately reflected online.
    • Troubleshoot issues related to product data synchronization, working with technical teams to resolve errors or discrepancies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Analyze product data performance metrics, such as search conversion, product description completeness, and image coverage, regularly and suggest improvements based on data-driven insights.
    • Provide regular reporting to leadership on product data accuracy, inventory alignment, and catalog performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Coach merchandising and store teams on how best to impact product data in their owned processes.
    • Work closely with the marketing and digital teams to ensure that product data aligns with promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
Requirements Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to optimize processes.
  • Experience with eCommerce business and business processes.
