UniversaCare - IV Home Infusion Nurse ($40-$45 an hour)Job DescriptionUniversaCare is seeking to hire PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse.Position: Per-diemHours: Flexible Hours, Evenings & WeekendsStart Date: ImmediatelyAs a Home Care PRN Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) , you will experience a special energy and excitement from your work as you join a team of individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others. You will work in a growing, specialized area of the nursing field outside the walls of a hospital settingAs a Home Infusion Registered Nurse you will provide a broad range of infusion therapies in out patients' homes while:Compassionately taking care of patients in order to allow them to recover in the comfort of their own home by using your clinical IV capabilities and personal touch.Skillfully providing one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician's plan of treatment.Assessing the patient's condition and response to therapy, taking action as needed to facilitate achievement of treatment goals.Establishing trust and building therapeutically effective relationships with our clients and their families.Required Qualifications:Active and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NYTwo (2)+ years of experience working as an RN in a Critical Care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, ED, ICU, post-anesthesia care, or similar setting)Experience with lab draws, IV infusions, and reconstitution of medicationsStrong experience with working with a variety of pumps (CAAD, curling, etc) & troubleshooting issues that may arisePossess a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance/registrationAbility to handle specialty cases like IGG, IVIG, Solumedrol, etc.Have and maintain current CPR / BLS certificationKnowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulationsHold current Malpractice InsuranceHave experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activityAbout Us:Founded in 2008, UniversaCare is a fully licensed and growing Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area and is continually expanding throughout the Northeast.Our mission is to provide unwavering compassion and excellence in all aspects of home health care by matching individuals with our highly skilled and diverse team of caregivers.Interested?
