If you desire to become a valued member of a hard-working and respected team and are up for a challenge or a change in your career, please take this opportunity to apply for this gratifying position.Job Responsibility30% Performs manual labor and routine clerical record keeping tasks in the receiving, storing, shipping and care of office supplies, industrial material and equipment, foodstuffs, medical supplies, and related items in warehouses for facility use.20% Issues supplies from storeroom on approved requisitions for facility use.15% Assembles, packs, and transports or arranges for transporting stored goods or material.15% Assists in taking physical inventory of stock as required.15% Maintain store stock in neat order, keep work areas clean.5% Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.Minimum QualificationsRequires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance)One (1) year of experience working with storeroom methods and procedures, transportation modes, shipment methods and kinds and grades of foodstuffs, maintenance, medical or office supplies.One (1) year of experience keeping simple receiving and shipping records.One (1) year of experience understanding and following oral or written instructions.Conditions of EmploymentRequires ability pass a background check.Requires ability meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.Requires ability pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.Requires ability utilize office equipment, including personal computers.Requires ability acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.Requires ability attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.Requires ability to travel in the performance of job duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.This position is considered very heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(e)). Very Heavy work involves lifting objects weighing more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more.On-call and overtime are a condition of employment, and you may be required to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime, and may be required to work alternating weekends.
