Shift differential for night shift, Wisconsin Retirement Fund, and County benefits. Uniforms and gear are provided. Opportunities to serve on Honor Guard, Jail Training Officer, and WI DOJ Certified Instructor. Incentive pay for physical readiness, JTO, and DOJ Instructor.Experienced applicants may qualify for our Lateral Entry Program; top lateral pay: $28.69 hourly.The Jail Division works 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off. Essential Duties and Responsibilities DESCRIPTION: Duties for this position include maintaining safety, security and discipline in the jail, intervening to stop disturbances, conducting searches and inspections, surveillance of all inmates, taking custody of and releasing inmates, and preparing reports and other paperwork. Weekends, holidays and rotating shifts are required. Qualifications Mandatory requirements include:At least 20 years of age, U.S. citizen, no felony or domestic abuse related crime convictions, high school diploma or equivalent. Once hired, must be capable of completing LESB jailer certification and maintain appropriate 24-hour recertification requirements.Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a team environment with others..
