The janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in production areas, common spaces, and outdoor grounds by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash, and collaborating with the production team to address cleaning needs promptly and effectively. This role also ensures proper use of PPE, reports maintenance issues, and maintains janitorial equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production areas and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
• Empty and clean trash cans and recycling bins regularly.
• Keep outdoor areas clean and free of debris, including walkways, parking lots, and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain janitorial equipment and tools.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Assist with cleaning production equipment and machinery as needed.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or issues from production staff.
• Work collaboratively with other janitorial staff and production team members.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding cleaning schedules and tasks.
