Job Description :
****Candidates with disabilities or Rehab referrals only****$17.20/hrThe Janitor Floor cleans and keeps in an orderly condition factory working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, apartment house, or commercial or other establishments. Duties involve a combination of the following: sweeping and mopping or scrubbing and polishing floors; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
  • Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Cleans floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing, floor finish applicator, and floor polishing (burnishing) machines.
  • Polishes metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets and cleaning ashtrays.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  • Responsible for working with a positive team spirit and producing quality work.
  • Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake Policy.
  • Responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities.
  • Sets an example through dependability, hard work, strong business ethics, and personal appearance.
  • Requisitions supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
  • May be required to train other employees on how to properly use, troubleshoot, and perform essential preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • May fill in for general cleaning staff as needed.
  • Completes required paperwork and/or documentation.
  • Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.

  • High School diploma/GED or 6 months previous custodial work experience.
