Job Captain - Arena Family of Companies : Job Details

We are seeking a Senior Job Captain to join a dynamic and collaborative architectural team. This role requires experience in construction document preparation and the ability to manage projects from schematic design through bidding. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, experience coordinating with consultants, and the ability to navigate code compliance for public projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversee the development of public bid projects from schematic design through bidding.
• Conduct code research to ensure compliance with governing jurisdiction requirements (DSA or equivalent).
• Coordinate with consultant engineers to integrate technical documents.
• Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders, incorporating their needs into project documentation.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with educational projects and DSA (or similar regulatory agency) preferred.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD (preferred but not required).
• Ability to interpret and develop construction drawings.
• Works well in a team-oriented environment.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
• 4-5+ years of experience in architectural construction documentation.
• California Architectural License preferred, but not required.
