REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, kinesiology, recreation administration, physical education, sports management, or other job-related field and two (2) years of recent campus recreation or related experience. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the appropriate knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the professional experience.
LICENSES - Current American Red Cross certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid (or ability to obtain within first 6 months of employment).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* A Master's degree in a directly related field.
* An understanding of the basic principles of student development and campus recreation programming.
* Experience in budgeting and fiscal management.
* Current NIRSA member.
* Demonstrated skill in developing effective working relationships within recreation staff and with other campus constituents.
* Previous experience developing, promoting, and managing successful student-directed, student-centered programs.
* American Red Cross Instructor certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
* Previous officiating experience.
* Demonstrated skills in an institutional/educational environment possessing a customer-oriented and service-centered attitude.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: LIGHT WORK - involves mainly sitting, up to 25% standing or walking; lifting medium weight objects limited to 25 pounds.
