We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Hospitalists to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.Position Overview: As a Hospitalist at Mercy Health Defiance Hospital, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day care of inpatients and observation patients. This includes providing prompt diagnosis, treatment, and medical procedures within your scope of practice. You will work a schedule of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off, with on-call collaboration with a nurse practitioner during your on-week.Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive rounds and provide attentive care to inpatient and observation patients.
- Collaborate closely with nurse practitioners and utilize tele-sitters for patient safety.
- Coordinate and consult with specialty providers to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Dedication to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
