Site Supervisor - Air Separation Plant (Joliet and Morris, IL)
Are you looking for an opportunity to work at a production facility where you can make a positive impact on others? Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team and provide operational and administrative support to our standalone Air Separation plants in Joliet and Morris, IL. These plants produce oxygen and nitrogen for pipeline customers. You'll have the chance to work closely with our existing Site Supervisor and report directly to the Area Manager, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of these critical facilities.

Required Skills / Abilities:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry, preferably with Air Separation facilities or complex process operation and maintenance
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
* Self-starter capable of planning activities for safe and reliable operations
* Willing to work alone and handle 24-hour on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis
* Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred but not required:
* Two-year Associate Degree in a technical field
* Experience with mechanical repairs, instrument calibration, and electrical troubleshooting
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at the facility to ensure continuous production of oxygen and nitrogen for pipeline customers
* Participate in the Basic Safety Process and ensure the site's overall safety performance
* Work with customers on technical and supply matters, building strong relationships
* Provide hands-on support for mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations, and electrical troubleshooting as needed
* Investigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence
* Follow Operating Procedures and Global Safety Standards
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Two-year Associate Degree in a technical field is a plus, but not required
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry with a focus on complex processes
Work Hours:
This position will require you to take 24-hour on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis and work independently. You should reside within 30 minutes of the Morris/Joliet facilities to respond after hours as needed.
