Journeyman 1 - Service Technician - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Inspect all facilities specific mechanical air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment to identify possible deficiencies and/or malfunctions. Inspect mechanical devices and makes any necessary repairs or corrections. Interpret all information gathered from blueprints, instruction books and sketches to maintain all equipment. Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order and operated in a safe manner. Perform preventive maintenance and take proactive steps to ensure equipment is properly maintained. Check meters, gauges, signal lights and other warning devices for possible problems and makes necessary corrections. Perform all work following infection control procedures. Complete and records work orders; submits hours to supervisor on a daily basis. Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Maintain assigned mechanical area. Fabricate and maintain ICRA consistent with UPMC policy and standards.
