Journeyman Carpenter - Price Chopper : Job Details

Pay Range: $28.10- $28.10SUMMARYPerform maintenance and repairs for all areas related to building. Build and modify countertops, build shelving, replace and repair doors, install locksets, install corner guards, install cart corral, install slatwall and perform some painting and fabrication, conforming to local building codes, by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStudy blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. Select specified type of lumber or other materials. Prepare layout. Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials. Shape materials to prescribed measurements. Assemble cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. Verify trueness of structure with plumb bob and carpenter's level. Respond to safety issues. Maintain and prepare work list for model stores. Aid in preparation of bill of material work list. Adherence to company guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust have a valid Driver's License. Must be 21 years of age. Must submit to DL Monitoring. Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. Good communication skills with the stores. Ability to read blueprints. Familiarity with power saws and related power and hand tools.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of technical school.
