We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join our team in a pivotal role focused on foundation design and engineering solutions. Candidates with 10+ years of experience in geotechnical and structural engineering and a passion for mentorship and collaboration are encouraged to apply.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per yearFull-time Schedule: Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:Design and Technical Contributions:
- Develop preliminary foundation designs, including material takeoffs and project quotations.
- Review project documentation such as plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Coordinate project-specific designs, offering recommendations for Value Engineering (VE) alternatives.
- Collaborate with team members to propose cost-effective design solutions tailored to client and project needs.
- Participate in project team discussions and prepare preliminary design submittals.
Signed and Sealed Submittals:
- Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate for design execution.
- Deliver signed and sealed submittals within budget and schedule constraints.
- Address revisions and design-related inquiries (RFIs) while preserving the original design intent.
- Provide necessary supporting documentation as required by clients or project teams.
Client and Industry Engagement:
- Offer technical sales support to present VE alternatives effectively.
- Represent the company at industry events such as trade shows, professional conferences, and training sessions.
- Deliver technical presentations (PDH-accredited) to engineering firms.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry experts to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Requirements: - Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or nearing licensure.
- Extensive experience in geotechnical and structural engineering, particularly foundation and deep foundation systems.
- Proficiency in design software, CAD programs, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage challenging deadlines independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Work Environment and Travel: - Primarily office-based in an open workspace environment.
- Occasional travel required for conferences, client meetings, and project engagements.
